My name is Amber Leigh Turner and I am a professional graphic and web designer and developer living and working in the Nashville, Tennessee area. I am constantly reading, learning, and developing my design knowledge and skills, which include a thorough understanding of color theory, the principles of design, the elements of art, HTML (hypertext markup language) and CSS (cascading style sheet) skills, layouts, and typography. I am primarily self taught, however I have had formal training as well. I strive and make it a passion of mine to help businesses grow through the use of professional design.
Personal
When I get some time to spare, I spend time with my wonderful boyfriend, Steven, playing with my cute puppy, and watching TV with my family. I love listening (and singing and dancing) to all types of music, including hip-hop, R & B, Christian, and country. I have recently starting playing the Wii, and I am oh so close to getting a perfect score on Wii Bowling. When the weather is nice outside, I enjoy running, swimming, and taking pictures of nature.

About hiring a freelancer
When hiring a freelancer, there are a lot of questions that may arise; after all, that is the reason why you are hiring a professional, right? Well allow me to help answer some of those questions by explaining the many benefits of hiring a freelancer:
- You typically will work with only one person, or with a small group (three or less). This means that you will deal with the same designer from start to finish; no outsourcing and dealing with anyone else.
- Freelancers own, operate, and manage their own business, thus they wear a lot of hats, and typically better understand you better as a business owner. They enjoy working for themselves, and that enjoyment bubbles over into all of their projects.
- Freelancers are doing what they love to do. This gives you the extra peace of mind that your project will be completed with the care and attention to detail that you would give.
- Working with a freelancer often allows for better, more competitive pricing, and allows for you to get exactly what you want out of the project—nothing more and nothing less. Freelancers have the authority to control their pricing and most work with you to meet your design needs and wants while also being friendly with your budget.
- Freelancers are very flexible—they work when you need them to work and are not constrained into the typical 9-5 requirements. They make their own schedules, allowing for faster project turnaround times, and more thorough project completions.
- Freelancers are not constrained into the rules and policies of agencies. This allows for better creative freedom.
