A colophon is a document that acts like credits to a piece of work. Here you will learn about all the specific aspects that made this web site possible and function.


Purpose

The purpose of this site is to serve as an online presence for my work and my services involving graphic design and web design.


Standards

Every attempt has been made during the creation and management of this site to keep with web standards. Such standards include using a strict CSS layout and testing to insure that the web site will work properly on all major browsers.


Server

This site is coded primarily using XHTML and CSS, written using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 with some hand written code. This site is managed and updated using the help of CushyCMS and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.

This site is hosted on a shared Linux server through Godaddy.com.


Validation

Every attempt has been made to make sure that the XHTML and CSS has been validated to meet web standards.


Search Engine Optimization

I have optimized the site so that Google and other search engines are able to find this site and index it properly.


Software

This web site was created on a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 Acer Travelmate 4202 laptop computer. The software used in the creation of the site was Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. This site was primarily tested in Mozilla Firefox version 3.0.5.


Development

This site was in the creation and development stage from November 2008 to March 2009, and was successfully launched on March 9, 2009. This is currently version three of AMBERTURNER.com.
